Welcome to Annie Cumberland Reiki, a place to explore & study the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki, which was created by Kathleen Prasad. My vision is to create a more peaceful, compassionate & understanding world by offering Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki classes to animal lovers, caretakers & advocates in my local communities.
In-person courses are currently offered in Frederick, Maryland.

What is the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki?
The Let Animals Lead® Method of Reiki created by Kathleen Prasad weaves together traditional Japanese Reiki techniques with the wisdom of animals to create spaces of healing, compassion & wellbeing for both humans and creature-kind.
Practitioners embark on a journey of self-discovery through the system of Reiki, exploring aspects of the mind, body and heart. Through the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki, we listen to and honor animals as wise teachers while holding healing space for their own unique journey.

Explore Level One of the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki created by Kathleen Prasad alongside the spunky, thoughtful & sweet herd at Finding Hearts Farm in Frederick, Maryland. This course is for you if you are seeking to deepen or being a daily spiritual practice to support your own wellbeing as well as the animals in your life through the mindful presence, comfort and joy of Reiki with animals. Horses are such gracious teachers & guides, we are truly blessed to share this space with them as we explore the beginning teachings of Reiki together.

The Three Foundations of the Let Animals Lead® Method
The Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki is based on three foundations to guide practitioners for most ethical and successful outcomes when sharing Reiki with animals and humans. The three foundations are: The Reiki Precepts, The Six Pillars of Animal Reiki and The Practitioners Code of Ethics.

Reiki Benefits for Animals
Animals dwell in the energy space. They are very sensitive to what is happening around them. As an Animal Reiki practitioner, you nurture compassionate spaces for both people and animals. Sessions invite the practitioner to see beyond circumstance and see the light of each animal on a unique soul journey.

Why Study with Annie?
As a lifelong animal care-taker, advocate and admirer, Annie was immediately drawn to learning about the spiritual & healing relationships with animals that can be nourished through the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki. As a steward of horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs and a shelter volunteer, Annie has experienced the incredible healing transformations, comfort & joy that takes place when Reiki is invited into relationships and experiences.
After completing her formal study of the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki, Annie knew she wanted to share this gift by empowering other animal care-takers as a way to serve, advocate and care for ourselves, the Animal Kingdom and the sacred web of life through Reiki.
She offers Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki with two different focuses: for supporting shelter animals and Reiki with horses.
